An open letter to the readers of Spur Ottawa
When we launched Spur Ottawa back in September 2015, our hope and vision was to have a news website that told some of the great stories we encountered through our connections with the Christian community around Ottawa—because there are many. We wanted to promote unity, stir passion, and “spur one another on toward love and good works”.
Over the last five years, our editor (Craig Macartney) and his team have researched, written, and published a relevant story at least every week. Last year, the site had more than 11,000 local visitors, with close to 20,000 views of articles. Craig was recently recognized for his work as a writer, winning two categories at the Word Guild awards in 2020. What a wonderful resource to our community.
As a Christian charity, One Way Ministries has covered the expenses to do this and it’s been our pleasure to do so. Now I’m inviting you to help us support this work. Would you consider making a donation to help us continue to tell of the great things the Lord is doing? In so doing, you are encouraging His church to proclaim Jesus and love and care for people in the national capital region.
A donation now or a monthly commitment would go a long way in helping us do this. To donate now, click here.
Thank you for considering this.
Yours in Christ,
Mark Peterkins
