The 26th annual National March for Life is shaping up to be one you don’t want to miss, especially since this is the first Canadian March for Life since the United States overturned Roe V. Wade.
This year’s march has the theme “Stand Firm” drawn from Ephesians 6:14, “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.” Stand firm is our reminder to hold fast to what is right, just, and true, and to be thankful for the life God has blessed us with. What better way to honour Him than by protecting the most vulnerable and precious of God’s creations; the unborn.
This year, we have added a new event to the National March for Life week. We will be hosting our first annual coffee house on Monday, May 8th at 7:00 p.m., at St. Theresa’s Church hall. This is a free event of fellowship and charity, with entertainment and snacks, to raise donations for our local crisis pregnancy centre, Birthright.
Tuesday at 7 p.m. we have a round-table discussion and preview of the film, “Roe Canada: The True North in a Post-Roe World”. To attend the film screening contact Campaign Life Coalition.
On Wednesday, May 10th at 9:00 p.m., Campaign Life is hosting our candlelight vigil at the Human Rights Monument. It is a prayerful witness, including praise, worship, and powerful testimonies from individuals who have been affected by abortion.
What better way to honour Him than by protecting the most vulnerable and precious of God’s creations; the unborn.
The actual march takes place Thursday, May 11th at 12:30 p.m. on Parliament Hill. This is Canada’s largest annual pro-life march! It is our best opportunity to show lawmakers the love God has for each and every one of His children, especially the unborn. This is our chance to show them that the “abortion issue” is not over, is not closed, and Canadians will not rest until the least of our brothers and sisters are protected, from conception until natural death.
That same day, we host our annual Rose Dinner and Youth Banquet. We have two incredible keynote speakers: Dr. Calum Miller for our Rose Dinner and Isabel Brown from Turning Point USA for our Youth Banquet.
The Following day, May 12th, we will have our Youth Summit, with breakout sessions and multiple pro-life speakers. This is perfect for apologetics training, learning ways to continue activism, and establishing a pro-life base for the next generation entering the movement.
As pro-lifers and disciples of Christ, we implore you to come and support Canada’s largest annual pro-life rally. We regret the need to march, but rejoice in acting in service to God.
There are multiple ways to support this movement: First and foremost, attend the march. The larger the crowd, the harder it is for lawmakers to ignore us and justify abortion.
You can also attend our other events. If you are unable to attend, please continue to pray for us so that we may remain strong in our fight for life and for God to soften the hearts of those who oppose us, that they would repent and join us.
